Find and make a backup copy of DefaultCat.mdb Bring up your control panel and select Programs & Features. They can be added from your install media. Set it up to use the IEC stuff rather than the JIC. Here you define the paths ACADE will look to find the proper menu files. It's in the first tab, 'Project Settings'. Right click on your project and select 'Properties'. You have to tell it to use a different one. Regardless of what you tell it then, ACADE defaults to the old JIC standard the first time it starts up. Clicking that box just tells ACADE to include those items during the install. I don't have any real input regarding your install, but as for the IEC. Use the Project Settings tab on the Project Properties dialog box to define the path for which set of library symbols you want to use for. AutoCAD Electrical toolset continues to provide the JIC and older IEC symbol libraries for legacy support.
